Teaching Volunteer in Zanzibar
English is not the first language of Tanzania including Zanzibar Island and many children even in high schools struggle to speak the language. Moreover, there is an acute shortage of teachers of English in local schools.
Your contribution to teach English, as a second language in Zanzibar will be highly appreciated and fulfilling to yourself.
Zanzibar teaching volunteer work include; helping teachers in the class, reading, making materials, teaching English, arts and crafts, sports, activities and games, and helping kids with homework. You can teach at, elementary (primary) and secondary school levels.
Zanzibar Volunteer Projects
Combination of Programs
In addition to Volunteer placement in Zanzibar, the International Volunteer Travel also offers opportunities for Internships Abroad in Zanzibar, the Language and Cultural Experience, and the Zanzibar Adventure Tours and Holidays program. With exception of the Language and Cultural Experience, which must be combined with another program, all Zanzibar programs are offered independently or in combination.
