Program Fees

Program Costs

Fees vary by type and length of program, and by country of placement. Participants pay program fees including non-refundable registration deposit.

Registration Fees

Irrespective of the program you select, you will be required to submit with your application, USD 349.00 of the program fee as a non-refundable registration fee. Your application will not be processed unless the registration fees are paid.  The remainder of the fees is due 60 days before your scheduled arrival date. This time can be reduced under special circumstances. 

Methods of Payment

Fees can be paid in cashier or bankers checks; money orders; debit cards; credit cards; wire transfer; direct deposit to our account. All funds must be payable in US dollars on a US Bank account. All wire transfers require a USD 25 surcharge per transfer; Discover and American Express cards incur an additional charge of 3% of the total payment made.

What The Fees Cover

Specific details will be provided with your specific program page and our terms and conditions of service. Generally, the fees we charge cover:

• Accommodation.
• Food: 2-3 local meals per day depending on the country and program. Vegetarian diets can be provided if requested prior to arrival.   
• Pick up from the airport and transfer to host home and project, in most countries.
• Transportation to project during introduction, in most countries.
• Project search and support.
• Administrative expenses.

What do the Fees Not Cover?

Generally, the following expenses are not covered although the country page will have more specific details: International travel; airport tax (USD 20 to 40); drop off at the airport (from host home) during departure; transport between home and the project; most projects are within walking distance; private in-country personal travel, visa application and extension fees; and insurances.

We do not cover special diets and baby food; personal expenses such as toiletries, leisure, bottled drinking water, soft drinks and refreshments beyond regular meals; medical expenses; other personal expenses; any liabilities or expenses incurred during your stay in the country other than those mentioned above.
