International Volunteer Travel Offers overseas Spanish and Swahili programs for volunteers, interns, groups, gap year students, children, college students, theologians, priests, lawyers, doctors, medical workers and anyone who wants to learn A second language abroad.
The goal of our Spanish and Swahili Study Abroad program is to make learning the A second language, practical, effective, and fun. The Spanish and Swahili classes are interactive, creative and dynamic - with varied activities and resources that will keep the learner yearning for more. Small classes range from one on one to a max class size of six.
Experienced Spanish and Swahili Teachers
To guarantee the best results, all teachers are native speakers of the foreign language, that you will be learning, highly qualified, and with experience in teaching it as a second language. They have a great attitude and are willing to help and encourage you to learn the language.
A Diversity of Study Options
There is a wide range of academic levels and options of Spanish and Swahili languages to choose. Our International Spanish Study Programs include Standard Spanish, Survival/Travelers Spanish, Spanish for High School Students, Spanish for Children, Golden Age Spanish, Spanish for Business, and Spanish for Theologians, to mention a few.
At the moment our Swahili Study Abroad programs options are Standard Swahili, Survival/Travelers Swahili, Swahili for Business, and Swahili for Church workers.
A Combination of Programs
You can combine your Spanish or Swahili Study abroad placement with our overseas Volunteer, Internships, Adventure, Wildlife Work, and Cultural Orientation for an enriching all rounded international language Study experience.
The Survival Language Program
In addition to the Spanish and Swahili Study Abroad program, we offer a one to two week Survival Spanish language program in all Spanish-speaking countries of South and Central America.We offer a Swahili language and African culture program incorporating Survival Swahili in Kenya and Tanzania. Other than the Survival Swahili programs, additional Swahili study abroad options are only available in Tanzania at the moment.
The Survival language program is most suited for those who may not have time to Study the second language abroad but would like to attain some knowledge of the basics useful for day-to-day interaction and work in the country of service.
The program often includes taking trips to visit some of the cultural highlights of the particular country.
Program Starting Dates
Starting dates for our Study Abroad programs vary from country to country but we normally have two starting dates per month. Please check the study Abroad page of each country for details.
Our Study abroad programs are open throughout the year. Summer Study Spanish Abroad Programs are the most popular and they fill up pretty fast. Classes are offered for 3-5 hours a day; five days a week.
A Diversity of Destinations
International Volunteer Travel offers Study Abroad Programs in three countries of Latin America and two countries of Africa. We partner with some of the best language schools. Our overseas program provides the most excellent opportunity for non-native speakers to study Spanish or Swahili as a second language.
Spanish Language Programs are available in Costa Rica and Guatemala. Swahili programs are available in Tanzania and Kenya.
