A non-refundable registration fee of USD 349 must accompany your application. We guarantee you placement in your first two choices and your first two countries and will refund your registration fee if are unable to provide you placement as indicated.
Combining Ecuador Programs
In addition to taking a program separately, you can also combine programs. For example, you can combine volunteer abroad , internship overseas with the Basic Spanish Program, or the Ecuador Adventure Holiday. To do so, just contact us for a price quote or select the programs in your application and we will give you a quote.
The cost of our various programs, on top of the registration fee, is provided below.

Combining Programs: You can combine any two or more
of most programs provided in Costa Rica. Simply select the programs
you want in the application and we will take care of it. You may also contact
us for advice.
Combining with Adventure Programs: Adventure programs
are offered alone or in combination with other programs. In most cases
adventure programs are designed to take no more than two weeks and
be combined with non-medical volunteer placement. Beyond the first
two weeks, participants proceed to volunteer placement. Those interested
in combining adventure with internships (or any medical work) instead
of volunteering will add USD 100.00 to the Adventure program fees.
Basic Survival Spanish: Those who select the Ecuador
Basic Spanish program take classes in the afternoons of the first one
or two weeks, while doing volunteer /internship placement in the mornings.
There is no separate period allocated to Ecuador Basic Spanish, as
is the case in other countries.
Healthcare Projects: Health care volunteer and internship
costs are the same for the two programs. Health care internships are
only open to students with at least one year of related discipline core coursework.
What Fees and Costs Cover
Logistics: airport pickup, communication, program
information, finding and organizing projects, Ecuador office expense
(utilities, salaries, maintenance, office rent), coordination, and
donation to projects, first commute from offices to project, project
supervision.
Food, Accommodation: Accommodation with host family,
3 local Peruvian meals per day depending on project and including vegetarian
meals with prior arrangement.
Basic Spanish Study: For participants, 2 hours of
classes per day on weekdays only; teachers, free snacks at teaching
venue, meals and accommodation as above.
Ecuador Adventure Tours: During the
actual tours provisions include transport, 2 meals, breakfast and lunch,
accommodation in standard hotels, gate fees to covered events and sites.
Insurance: Comprehensive health and travel insurance is provided by the program.
Costs Not Covered
Travel: International travel; drop off at the airport;
airport departure fee (USD 25); private in-country travel, visa fees;
special diets (other than conventional vegetarian); transport to and
from work daily. Most projects are within walking distance of home
but participants who wish can take bus or trolley at no more than USD
0.50 per return trip.
Miscellaneous Expenses: personal expenses such as
laundry, toiletries, leisure, gifts, bottled water, soft drinks and alcohol,
and costs associated with private or optional travel/events.
