Teaching Internships in Ghana
One
of the major initiatives post independence in Ghana was ?Free
education for All?. Numerous coups and political unrest
for about 30 years coupled with radical changes in educational
programs and low wages for teachers resulted in gradual decline
of elementary and secondary school teachers. Currently the insufficient
number of teachers as is the case in most developing countries
has remained a major problem in Ghana. Your contribution to
teach English or any other subjects will be highly appreciated
and fulfilling to yourself.
International Interns abroad in the teaching programs in Ghana will assist teachers in the class, teaching English, Math, Science, arts and crafts. Other duties may include playing and leading activities and games, and helping kids with their homework.
Internships with Children in Ghana
International Interns work in orphanages to assist in preparing meals for the kids, washing clothes, dressing and feeding the children, teaching them songs, rhymes, in fun games, assisting the children with school work, doing the dishes and doing the many chores that running such a place entails.

Travel back in time and experience African life in a very basic setting as if you were living about century ago.
There are no set duties or job description for international Interns in this program. The main purpose is to experience isolated village life, interact with locals and join the host family in their cocoa plantations, grazing farm animals, and ploughing with oxen.
