The
International Volunteer Travel Rift Valley Adventure starting in Moshi,
Tanzania is an amazing two-week program incorporating almost 9 days of
Africa volunteer service, and 3 days of touring breathtaking sceneries
in the Tanzania’s Rift Valley. The jungle safari expedition features
world famous Lake Manyara, Olduvai and Tarangire National Parks in the Tanzania portion of the East African Great Rift Valley.

A sample schedule of our International Volunteer Rift Valley Adventure Moshi program in Tanzania is provided below:
Day 1:Arrival and pick up from the Arusha, Kilimanjaro, International Airport, in Arusha, Tanzania and transfer to host family home
Day 2:Morning: registration and start of orientation. About 2-hour discussion covering topics including orientation to the program, Tanzania culture, history, customs, politics, do's and don'ts. Afternoon is free for exploring rural Tanzania and getting to know your host family.Day 3:Volunteers abroad and international interns leave for project early in the morning after breakfast. Introductions held with project staff, and the host family.Day 3-9:Overseas volunteer or internship work. Interns abroad and overseas volunteers are free to explore the surrounding areas in their free time.Day 9:End international volunteer work. Farewell to the project and evaluation of the program.Day 10-12:Tanzania Rift Valley Wilderness Safari: (3 Days)In Tanzania's greatest Rift Valley wilderness parks adventurous volunteers and overseas interns will encounter over 450 bird species, and numerous species of animals including gazelles; impala; buffalo; wildebeest; the famous tree climbing lion; hyena; baboon; giraffe; hippopotamus, lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, zebras, thousands of wildebeests, etc. Day 10:Lake Manyara: After about 9 days of work, its time to have fun - overseas volunteers and Africa interns on this program leave Moshi, early morning and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive. Picnic lunch en-route, dinner and overnight at Campsite.Day 11:Olduvai Gorge/Ngorongoro Crater: Depart Lake Manyara for a half day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 2,000 feet into the crater floor - the world's largest caldera. This is the best place to see black rhino, lions, lots of colorful flamingoes and other water birds, the leopard, cheetah, hyena, antelopes. In the late afternoon drive back to campsite for lunch. In the late evening you may have the walking safaris at the coffee plantations, watching birds, waterfalls and returning back to campsite for dinner and overnight.Day 12:Tarangire-Moshi: Morning drive from Karatu to the Tarangire National Park. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of Tarangire River. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands and oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again. In the late afternoon drive back to Moshi.Day 13:Break, free day. Program Evaluation.Day 14:End of Adventure Program. Departure for those staying for 2 weeks. Those staying longer proceed to their volunteer abroad project placement. |
This

Accommodation is in shared camp tents.
