Tanzania Program Highlights
Age Limit: 18 and over; Under 18 if accompanied by guardian or with Gap Year or Group Volunteer Abroad program.
Location: Moshi city and surrounding areas.
Length of Program: 1 to 24 weeks.
Starting Dates: 1st and 3rd Thursday of every Month; Plan to arrive the day before.
Airport Arrival Time:Preferably by 4:00 PM
Accommodation, & Meals: Special volunteer house or carefully selected Tanzanian households; 3 Tanzanian meals provided per day.
Transport to Project: Most projects within walking distance otherwise cost will normally not exceed USD 0.50 per day.
Schedule: Mondays to Fridays. 3 to 6 hours daily (10 to 20 hours weekly).

Language Requirement: Basic Swahili strongly encouraged but not required; working knowledge of English required. International volunteers and interns can sign up for the Language and culture program or the Swahili Study Abroad program to acquire basic to advanced knowledge skills.
