your arrival in the small cit y of Treinta Y Tres,
the combined tour of the expansive and tranquil Uruguayan
countryside and the beach city of Punta del Este,
will give you a great time and an all rounded feel
of the Latin American country of Uruguay.
We start out with a trip to the colonial style Uruguay estancias (ranches). Here you will travel back in time to interact with Gauchos (Uruguayan cowboys), enjoy horse riding, cattle herding, fishing, tasting the different traditional foods, and much more. Then proceed to one of Latin America’s best-kept secrets, the seaside resort city of Punta del Este (Punta). Walk along miles of beautiful, pristine beaches; join wealthy, world famous celebrities and politicians in the casinos, discotheques, and other entertainment spots; marvel at the unpredictable yet exquisite architecture of Punta.
A Sample schedule of the Best of Uruguay Adventure program is as follows:
Day
1: Arrival and pick up from the Carrasco
International Airport (Airport Code: MVD) in
Montevideo, Uruguay. Transfer to hotel and rest.Day 2: Orientation. This entails about a 2-hour discussion. Topics covered at orientation will include Uruguayan culture, history, customs, politics, geography, and necessary travel precautions, do’s and don’t’s. Afternoon is free for exploring the city of Treinta Y Tres. Day 3 –6: Uruguay Ranch Country Holiday Day 4-5: Join or watch the local
cowboy (guacho) doing ranch work including herding
cattle on horse back, sowing or harvesting, branding
and shearing sheep, “breaking” or
riding crazy horses at the local rodeo. Alternatively
go for quiet walks in the countryside, ride in
a cart or carriage, go fishing in the river,
or participate in water sports. Free delicious
local meals are included in the tour. Day 8-11:: Punta del Este Beach Vacation Day 9 - 10: Punta del Este Resort City
Tours The city port is another one of the favorite places to visit; complete with vantage points, Italian light fittings, English benches and an outstanding wooden footbridge on the sand dunes that allows the access to the beach.
Don’t forget to sample the cities world-class restaurants for quality international and national cuisine and visit shopping mall. Day 11: Depart Punta for
