TestimonialsUruguay Survival Spanish Program
To
enhance the experience of overseas
interns and volunteers
abroad in Uruguay, the International
Volunteer Travel in collaboration with our
partner Uruguay Spanish language school, offers
a special language program for beginners, called
the Uruguay
Survival Spanish Program or the Spanish
for Travelers program.
The Uruguay Survival Spanish program is designed for volunteers and interns who do not have enough time to learn the language in a comprehensive form, but who need the language for effective participation in our Uruguay volunteer and internship abroad programs or just want to learn basic conversational Spanish. Participants can sign up for one or two weeks of this program.
Survival Spanish and Nature Project Combo
Our Spanish school is located at Treinta Y Tres, about 50Km from the nature project located at Quebrada de Los Cuervos. International volunteers and interns abroad who sign up for the survival Spanish and the Uruguay Nature project work, have to complete the Spanish classes first then proceed to Quebrada de Los Cuervos for project placement.
For all other projects located at Treinta Y Tres, the Uruguay Survival Spanish Program is not offered alone; participants must take at least one week of internship, volunteer placement or the Adventure Holidays program. Uruguay Spanish classes take place in the morning while volunteering takes place in the afternoons.
The Uruguay Survival Spanish Program classes are taught in a way that provides interns abroad and overseas volunteers in Uruguay with a richer experience and understanding of the cultural and traditions of Uruguay, and also, enables them to develop their language skills for everyday travel situations. Learning covers useful Spanish language for conversation at restaurant, bank, tourist office, supermarket, post office, airport, etc.
