TestimonialsVolunteer With Special Children
The
International Volunteer Travel partners with local non
profit organizations to promote the development of children
with special abilities such as handcrafting, singing, sports
and corporal expression. The children will also have an
opportunity to participate in the Special Olympic Games,
once a year and will be competing in many different sporty
disciplines.
Currently the project is working mainly with children and teenagers, four hours per day, three times a week.
International volunteers will work with children to make handcrafts, supervise singing, and teach Physical Education classes as well as corporal expression activities. Volunteers abroad with this program can also suggest new activities.
Combining Uruguay ProgramsIn addition to voluntary work abroad in Uruguay, we offer opportunities for internships abroad, Survival Spanish learning, and Adventure Holidays programs in Uruguay, South America.
Spanish Language Requirements
Basic Spanish is strongly recommended but not required. International volunteers and interns abroad without working knowledge of Spanish are encouraged to sign up for our one week Survival Spanish program to acquire basic Spanish skills.
